Harrington falls away as Aussie Leishman takes control at the Byron Nelson

The Irishman is two-over through nine in the final round.

AUSTRALIAN MARC LEISHMAN hit four birdies in a flawless front nine to take the lead at the Byron Nelson Championship  in Texas today.

The 30-year old birdied the first two holes as well and seven and eight to card a four-under 31 on the opening nine, enough for a share of the lead on -12 with Brendon Todd (-2).

The news was not so good for Pádraig Harrington, however, who is now seven shots off the lead after 10 holes of his final round.

Between the fourth and 10th holes, the Irishman hit bogey, birdie, double bogey, birdie, par, bogey, bogey to lie on -5, three over par for his round.

Harrington very nearly made eagle on the 11th but his luck was out as the ball bounced into and out of the hole.
